John S. Conway, 75, of Queen Creek, Arizona, formerly of Mount Prospect, Illinois, passed away unexpectedly on March 6, 2026.

John was born in Chicago to the late Stephen E. Conway and Marion F. Conway. He spent more than 50 years working as a machinist, known for his strong work ethic, precision, and pride in his craft.

John loved spending time with his family, music, and traveling. He also enjoyed researching his family lineage and learning about the stories and history that connected generations. Known for his gift of conversation, John could strike up a conversation with anyone and loved sharing stories.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Natalie (Ruffin) Conway; his children Meaghan (James) Markus, Bridget (Pete) Cortese, Laura Conway, Melinda (Scott) Price, Jena (Rene) Escalante, and Michael (Jackie) Rieck; his cherished grandchildren Jimmy Markus Jr., Gino Markus, Rosalie Cortese, Brandon Cortese, Tyler Cortese, Cooper Price, Sarah Price, Stephanie (David) Belcher, Tyler Winkleman, Joey Winkleman, Sean Escalante, Anthony Rieck, and Nikolas Rieck; and his great-grandchildren, Austin Belcher and Talia Winkleman.

He is also survived by his sisters Mary Ann Conway, Betty Tillotson, and Margaret Conway, and was preceded in death by his brothers Joe Conway and Michael Conway.

John will be remembered for his warmth, humor, and the many conversations and memories he shared with family and friends. He was loved by many and will be deeply missed.

Though he is gone, the stories he told, the laughter he shared, and the love he gave will live on in the hearts of those who knew him.
