Mr. Gregory Levern Davis affectionally known as "Fat Greg" and was born on February 20, 1963, in Jacksonville, Florida to Boysie Davis Jr. and Carolyn Earven. He attended and graduated from Baldwin High School. Gregory then served in the United State Military before starting his employment at Tyson, Winn Dixie, Duval County School Board and Canam Steel Corporation, where he provided over 30 years of service.

After years of dating, Gregory married Selma Black and they became one and blended their family. Gregory was a devoted Florida State, Dallas Cowboys and Cadillac fan. You could always catch Greg dressed to impress, complimented by a matching hat. Gregory was well known in the community in which he served and will be dearly missed. After a battle with cancer Greg gained his wings on Wednesday November 19, 2025.

Greg was preceded in death by his Father Boysie Davis Jr., Mother Carolyn Earven and Uncle James Davis.
Greg leaves to cherish his memory with: Wife: Selma Black. Brothers: Authur White, Boysie Davis III, Gary Earven (Angela); Sisters: Angela Davis, Jennifer Davis, Derrell Mixson (Gerald ). Sisters-in-law: Laronda Dyer (Dean), Charlene Sharp and Tikki Black.
Sons: Jamarian Davis, Pharez Black Davis and Stepson: Xavier Black. Daughters: Chelaina Davis, Carolyn Davis and Ebony Davis. Grandchildren: Ava Davis, Adarian Davis. Aunt; Evelyn Davis. Greg also holds special bonds with Vondetta Alfred, Kevin Davis, Andre Davis, along with a host of other nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends.

I was sadden when i heard the sad news about my long time friend also family FatGreg , I remember when Greg was admitted to Baptist Health in Hearts Cancer deparment , I stop what i was doing to go see about my friend Greg , I remember Vondette was in the room i spoke to Greg about his health and if there´s anything he need please let me know , Greg made it out only to come back again and complete his cancer treatment and ring the bell. This I saw on the video at Baptist. I was proud of Greg and I´m still proud of him no matter what he had his wings.remember Greg as he played with my brothers Herbert & Herman at the park when they was young he was so funny we miss you much my brother , RIP
