Mary Jane Fachko

Mary Jane Fachko, age 83, of Callahan, Florida, was called home to be with her Lord and Savior on December 7, 2025. She was born on October 31, 1942, in Birmingham, Alabama, to Harold Tyson McCraw and Mary Jeanette Bryce McCraw. Mary Jane attended Baldwin High School in 1960 and went on to attend Livingston University now the University of West Alabama in Livingston, Alabama. She was a member of Callahan First Baptist Church and dearly loved her church and Sunday School family. Mary Jane' earthly battle is over, but her life in Christ is not. She rests in the arms of her Savior, where there is no pain, no fear, and no sorrow. Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of His saints, Psalm 116:5. Mary Jane had an unwavering faith in Jesus. Her gracious spirit was felt by so many. Her love and care for her family and others were beyond measure. God gave her a spirit of feisty love, and she said what she meant and meant what she said. Mary Jane was a lady of abounding grace, determination, and loyalty. She spent her days listening to good old southern gospel music and keeping the wheels hot on the road with her friends. Mary Jane looked to the Lord to guide her life, every moment of every day. Those who knew her saw how much He loved her. Mary Jane is now adorned in Heaven with her crowns of glory, and her life and legacy will live forever. Well done, thy good and faithful servant - Matthew 25:21. Her legacy is one of faithfulness, quiet strength, and abundant love that will be left for generations. God opened his arms and welcomed her into his eternal presence. Mary Jane's love is a light that will never fade, and we will carry her in our hearts forever. She is preceded in death by her parents; and husband, Francis Jerome Fachko.

Mary Jane is survived by her daughters, Mary Ann Thompson, Susan Kay Wood (Daniel Slote); brother, Ty McCraw (Nancy); grandson, Daniel Connor Wood; and grand-dog, Barkley Roo.

A Celebration of Mary Jane's Life will be held on Thursday, December 11, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at Callahan First Baptist Church with Dr. Lynn Hyatt officiating. Interment will follow at Byrce Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.
