Joy Ann Norman

Norman – Joy Ann Norman, age 82, of Glen St. Mary, Florida passed away peacefully on July 17, 2025, at her residence with her loving family by her side. She was born in Baldwin, Florida on December 16, 1942, to the late Nicholas Carl Busbee and Lorene Venice Nelson Busbee. Joy was raised in Baldwin, Florida and graduated from Baldwin High School in 1960. Shortly after school, Joy married her best friend and forever companion, Melvin Norman. Together they created a beautiful life and were blessed with 3 precious children. They made Baker County their home in 70's and found their longtime church family at Pine Level Church. Joy was most passionate about her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, loved worshipping Him, and found peace in listening to gospel music. She treasured her family, the gift of motherhood, and had unwavering devotion to her household. She was very successful and gifted in many facets of life. Joy had an amazing career at St. Vincent's Medical Center where she proudly dedicated many years as a Financial Advisor. She was known for her green thumb and loved tending to her gardens. From the first green shoots of spring to the jars of home-canned vegetables lining her pantry shelves, Joy nurtured her plants and family with love and tender care. She delighted in cooking large generous meals for all her loved ones and cherished their presence. Her home had the aroma of coffee throughout the day as a good cup of coffee was a morning must. Joy also enjoyed yard sales and thrift shops. She had an eye for hidden treasures and could see the beauty in the overlooked. Joy loved life, lived to the fullest, and gave God all the glory. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband of 54 years, Melvin Norman; brother, Carl Busbee, Jr.; sister, Shirley Hampton; and grandson, Blake Lee Norman.

Joy is survived by her loving children, Tammy (Raymond) Conner, Mike Norman, and Scott (Cissy) Norman all of Baker County, FL; grandchildren, Amanda (Shane) Burnsed, Shammer (Cassie) Conner, Michael (Jodi) Norman, Jr., Tiffany (Jonathan) Fish, Dalton (Destiny) Norman, Trever (Morgan) Norman, and Alan Norman; 22 great grandchildren; along with many extended family members and friends.

A Celebration of Joy's Life will be held on Tuesday, July 22, 2025, at 12:00 pm at V. Todd Ferreira Funeral Services Chapel with Pastor Fred Raulerson officiating. Interment will follow at Cedar Creek Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, from 11:00 am – 12:00 pm at the chapel. Arrangements are under the care and direction of V.
