GREGORY VAN DINE 70
Of German Street Kingston, New York died at home on Saturday March 22, 2025. Born in Kingston July 10, 1954 a son of John E. VanDine and the late Marian D. (Rienzo) VanDine.
Greg graduated from Kingston High School and Ulster Community College. He retired from ARC Mid-Hudson and was previously employed at Met Life and United Health Care. He was an accomplished drummer who played in various local bands. He enjoyed spending leisure time with his wife at their camp in Sydney, New York.
Surviving, in addition to his father; are his wife: Luann (Whalen) Van Dine, a brother: Gary Van Dine and his wife Kathy, sisters: Carol Thompson and her husband Michael, Joanne Batista and her husband Rodney, sister-in-law: Nancy Cormier, and brother-in-law: William Whalen Jr. and his partner Dorothy Ormerod. Many nieces and nephews also survive.

Our brother and my favorite drummer of all time whom I had the pleasure of performing with, Greg Van Dine has passed from this world however Greg lives in eternity. This is the promise of our Lord. Pain and suffering no more. Our condolences to his lovely wife Luann (VIVA's LIGHTING TECH) and good friend. Greg's brother Gary and sisters. For those of you who remember Kingston`s well-known band "VIVA", we´re lucky enough to experience the great talent of Greg and his fantastic drumming ability. Greg`s high talent level enabled him to tour with world famous big bands internationally as well.
Greg has joined his VIVA family that has already passed:
