Gregory Grosdidier Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Carson-Wall Funeral Home - Parsons on Feb. 17, 2026.
Gregory N. "Greg" Grosdidier, 71, of St. Paul, passed away at 2:09 a.m., February 17, 2026, at the University of Kansas Health Systems in Kansas City, Kansas.

He was born on November 6, 1954, in Parsons, KS to Francis E. and Sara E. (Steinbacher) Grosdidier. Greg was a lifelong resident of St. Paul and graduated from St. Paul High School in 1972. While in high school he was active in all sports and was a member of Future Farmers of America. During his high school years, he worked for Casey O'Brien and Venneman Family Farms helping with livestock and farming and for a time with LaForge and Budd Construction Company. Greg was in a vehicle accident on April 7, 1973, that left him a quadriplegic. Despite this challenge, he was known for his positive spirit and was a shining light in his community and family. Greg was an inspiration to all who knew him. Greg worked for 28 years at Farmers Bank in St. Paul.

Greg was an avid sports fan proudly supporting the St. Paul Indians, K-State Wildcats, Pitt State Gorillas and the Kansas City Chiefs and Royals. He enjoyed following and attending all of his nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephew's activities. He loved playing cards, especially pitch, country cruising, and keeping up with the livestock market.

He was a member of St. Francis Catholic Church and the St. Paul Knights of Columbus No 760.

Survivors include his father, Francis Grosdidier of the home; his siblings, Donna Wood (Gary) of Erie, Steve Grosdidier (Kathie) of St. Paul, Mike Grosdidier (Teresa) of St. Paul, Sharon Hill (Guy) of Goddard, Jene Noe (Rodney) of St. Paul, Elaine VanLeeuwen (Keith) of St. Paul, Lisa David (Dr. Sujote) of Olathe and Dr. Kelly Grosdidier (Lisa) of Overland Park; twenty-six nieces and nephews; fifty-three great nieces and nephews and a great-great niece and nephew with another one expected in March.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Sara Grosdidier on February 23, 2009, and a brother, Chris Grosdidier on November 13, 1990.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 9:30 a.m., Saturday, February 28, 2026, at St. Paul High School Gymnasium. Burial will follow in St. Francis Cemetery. The rosary will be prayed at 6:00 p.m., Friday, February 27, 2026 at the St. Paul High School Gymnasium. The family will receive friends following the rosary until 8:00 p.m.

In lieu of flowers memorials are suggested to St. Francis Catholic Church or St. Paul Alumni and Friends and may be left at or mailed to the Carson-Wall Funeral Home, P.O. Box 272, St. Paul, KS 66771.

I recall Greg and the St.Paul´s group coming to Eudora for the family reunions. First at Uncle Ed´s old farm house and then at the Holy Family Church. He was an inspiration to me to work part time in rehab at KUMC as a student nurse. The experience helped me in my profession. My condolences to the entire family.
Dody (Grosdidier) Neis. One of Norbert´s daughters.
