Gregory Houde, 41, of Defuniak Springs Fl, passed away tragically on March 16, 2025..
Greg was born on June 10th, 1983 to Mark Houde and Susan Dell'Orso in New Haven, Connecticut.
He attended Emmet O'Brien Technical School in Ansonia, CT and graduated with a degree in Electrical Work. He married the love of his life, Krystal Houde (FINALLY) on October 5th, 2019. Greg loved what he accomplished as a businessman in the Electrical field. He started as an apprentice, worked his way through to supervising a company for many years, eventually reaching the dream of starting his own. Houdes Electrical Service was his baby, He spent countless hours being sure the community knew they could rely on him. He always said a man is only as good as his word, and he stood by that to the fullest.
When he wasn't out in the community and tending to his crew, he enjoyed anything outdoors. Adventuring on a kayak, Motorcycle rides in the breeze, or even simply tending to his mini farm as he called it, were only the start of it. Greg left a lasting effect on everyone he met with his carefree demeanor and his contagious smile. He was passionate, kind, and loving. He had this way of life that lit up a room no matter where he went. He loved his people fiercely, as we did him. The energy he brought to a room will never be replicated.
He was a rare sight, overcoming all odds and married the love of his life and creating a beautiful home full of children, animals, friends, family, and he made sure anyone who walked through his door was cared for.
He will leave a hole in all our hearts that will never be filled.
Gregory is survived by his wife Krystal Houde, to whom he was with for 18 wonderful years and married for five of them along with his 5 children. His sons, Kegan Houde(15), Matteho Houde(13), Reiley Houde(4), and an Additional son, Michael Mitchem(16), and his daughter, Ka'Sandra Houde(12). His mother Susan Dell'Orso(Joe),His brother Joe Houde(Jessica, Jack,Luke), Sister Megan Chagatzbanian(Aram,Izzzy, Ellie),His Father in Law Mark Reiley Sr(Christine), Mother in Law Dawn Payne(Mark, Aiden)Step Brother in Law Jack Payne. Sister in Laws Michaella Brunner(Ike, Audrey, Ryan, Ollie, Maddie), Amber Borvan(Zack, Stella), Mary Witty(Hazell), His Brother in Laws Kyle Witty, Michael Reiley, Mark Reiley Jr(Tristan, Trent).
He is Preceded in Death by His Father Mark Houde, His Mother in Law Kathy Reiley(Presumed), and his Brother in Law, Ryan Reiley.
