Gregory Paul Lashmet, born on July 24, 1974, left this world peacefully on January 18, 2025, at the age of 50. He was a devoted husband, a loving father, a cherished son, and a beloved brother. Greg’s departure has created a void that is immeasurable; he leaves behind a remarkable legacy adorned with love, kindness, and countless memories.

With a heart as expansive as Texas, Greg had an unparalleled ability to bring people together. His profound love for family was evident in everything he did, from moments of simple joy to grand celebrations that united loved ones. His unwavering faith and commitment to his Rodeo and Music community were the cornerstones of his life, radiating warmth and compassion to all who crossed his path. Greg will be remembered not just for his selflessness and humor, but most importantly, for the deep and abiding love he shared with those fortunate enough to know him.

He was preceded in death by his father, Paul Lashmet, and his beloved son, Cody Hopkins, both of whom he missed deeply.

Greg is survived by his loving wife, Lacey Hopkins; his devoted mother, Diane Lashmet; and his siblings, James Lashmet Sr. and Kristin Lashmet. He was a proud father to his daughters, Ava and Addisyn Lashmet, as well as his sons, Tyler and Caleb Lashmet. His warm spirit also lives on in his grandchildren, Waylon Dormer, Jacob Lashmet, and Brisa Lashmet, who will carry his memory forward.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, January 26, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. at the Lost Pines Cowboy Church with Pastor Greg Long presiding. Friends and family are warmly invited to gather in honor of Greg’s extraordinary life, sharing cherished memories and the love he inspired in all.

Greg will be deeply missed, yet he will forever occupy a special place in the hearts of those who loved him. His spirit will continue to shine through in the lives he touched each and every day.
