Gregory Edward Merrill

Gregory Edward Merrill, 58, of Bledsoe, KY passed away Thursday, November 6, 2025, at his residence. He was born March 24, 1967, in Harlan, KY. Greg was a retired coal miner, a Veteran of the U.S. Army and believed in the Church of God faith.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Edward C. Merrill and Pauline Huff Merrill and his brother, Gary Dale Merrill.
He is survived by his three children, Kendra Slone and husband Chenoa of Pineville, KY, Shane Merrill of Harlan, KY and Scott Merrill of Harlan, KY; his grandchildren, Khloe Slone and Kynlee Slone. Also, his brother, Brad Merrill and wife Deanna of Sharps Chapel, TN along with several aunts, uncles, relatives and friends also survive.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, November 11, 2025, at the Pine Mountain Church of God at 3PM with the Rev. Kermit Creech and the Rev. Jim Huff officiating. The family will receive friends also Tuesday, from 12-PM until the funeral hour at the church.
Burial will follow in the Huff Family Cemetery of Bledsoe, KY with Military Honors provided by the Harlan County Honor Guard. Pallbearers will be, Brayden Joseph, Jesse Ray Witt, Brad Merrill, Chenoa Slone, Patrick "Patch" Witt, Jim "Big Wheel" Whitaker, Devin Merrill and Bryson Merrill. Honorary pallbearers will be, Wesley "Easy Money" Boggs, Tim Boggs, Bob Callahan and Harvey Ray.
