Gregory Nelson, 69, of Casper, WY passed away at home on November 15, 2023.
Greg was born to Darrell and Patricia Nelson on July 9, 1954, in Salt Lake City, UT. Greg was the oldest out of 6 children. Throughout high school, Greg was a Cheerleader at all the games. He graduated from Cottonwood High School in 1972. Then attended the University of Utah and studied business. He later went on to work for his father’s insurance company, American International for several years.
Greg had three children, Natalie, Codi and Rocky. He also has 8 grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his sister Terrie and his son Rocky. Greg is survived by his wife, Connie of Casper, WY. Parents, Darrell and Patricia Nelson, brother Gordon Nelson, sisters, Cindy Scott and Lorrie Madson of Salt Lake City, UT. and his brother Mark Nelson of AZ.
Greg met and married Connie Miller in 1995. The couple moved to Casper and Greg worked at his 2nd love, construction. The couple loved hiking, fishing, traveling and just relaxing at home. In his spare time, Greg loved woodworking and their home was always full of his creations. Including birdhouses which he loved to share with others.
Greg loved animals, especially his dogs. He also loved gardening and riding his motorcycles. His sense of humor and compassion for others in need will be missed. Greg was loved and will be missed by all who knew him. To honor Greg’s wishes, no services are planned. Bustard & Jacoby Funeral Home is handling his cremation.
