Bustard & Jacoby Funerals, Cremations, Receptions - CasperPatrick (Pat) M. Smith, age 79, of Casper, WY passed away on September 15, 2025 at home in Casper.
Was born in Yuma, AZ to Wallace G. and Ruth C. Smith on August 16, 1946. The family moved to Tucson, AZ when he was a young child and he grew up there. He graduated from Amphitheater High School in 1964, then served in the Army including tours in Korea and Vietnam. He worked as a diesel mechanic at Wyoming Machinery Co. for 32 years. Pat was everyone’s favorite uncle because he was always playing with pyrotechnics and creating something new. He enjoyed making things go “boom”. He also loved to be outdoors, and enjoyed riding motorcycles, reading, shooting sports, gold panning, and loved his dogs.
Pat is survived by his sister Sandra Eberhardt (Paul) of Flagstaff, AZ, his brother Timothy Smith (Nancy Abrams) of Tucson, AZ, sister Catherine Staten (Mickey) of Whitewater, CO, Sister-in-law Marylin Smith, nephew George Smith, and niece Bethany (Francis) Stephenson, all of Helena, MT, and Ruth (Randy) Baker of Kissimmee, FL and their sons Wes and Adam Smith, and nephew Brynt (Stephanie) Lindsey of Wickenburg, AZ. He is preceded in death by both his parents, brother David Smith of Tucson, AZ and brother Wallace F. Smith of Helena, MT.
A graveside service will be held at Oregon Trail Veterans Cemetery in Evansville, WY on October 10, 2025 at 10am.
