Gregory David Shultz, 60, of rural Wabash, Indiana, went home to be with his Lord at 11:41 am, Tuesday, July 8, 2025. He was born on September 9, 1964, in Cleveland, Ohio, to Carl B. and Carole (Burke) Shultz.
Greg was a 1982 graduate of Brooklyn High School in Cleveland, Ohio, and received his bachelor's degree from Fort Wayne Bible College. He had a strong Christian Faith and previously served as a licensed minister. He was currently a Family Teacher at Josiah White's, and served multiple roles during his 33 years there. Greg loved the students at Josiah White's, and was the unofficial coordinator of fun, making sure everyone felt involved. He enjoyed transporting students, taking them out to eat, and listening to them. Greg never knew a stranger and would spark up a conversation anytime and anywhere. He was an avid Ohio State Buckeyes, Cleveland Browns, Cleveland Indians, and Cleveland Cavaliers fan. Greg was a jokester at heart, always having a good joke on the cuff. He was a passionate Disney fan, and looked forward to his annual trip to Disney World.
He is survived by his mother, Carole Shultz and brother, Kurt Shultz; both of Cleveland; cousins, Angel (Brian) Parisi of Texas, Ashley Smythe Kaveh of Erie, Colorado, Christie Smythe of California, and Michelle Alletto of Cleveland; and special friends, Matt & Tracey Riggle of Somerset, Indiana, Jim Hogan of LaFontaine, Indiana, and Mike & Theresa Elliott of Wabash. Greg was preceded in death by his father, and his brother, Dan Shultz.
Funeral services will be 2:00 pm, Wednesday, July 16, 2025, at LaFontaine Christian Church, 202 S. Bruner Pike, LaFontaine, Indiana, with Brad Wright officiating. Visitation for family and friends will be 2-6 pm Tuesday, at the church. Arrangements by Grandstaff-Hentgen Funeral Service, Wabash, Indiana.
Preferred memorial is Josiah White's Friend of a Child Fund.
