Gregory Wayne Siders

Gregory Wayne Siders, 63, of Ahoskie, North Carolina, passed away at home on January 1st. Greg was a beloved father, son, brother, grandfather, father-in-law, uncle, and friend. He will always be remembered for his love for his family, his animals, the outdoors, anything camouflage, and Hawaiian shirts.
Born on November 20, 1962, in Charleston, West Virginia, Greg grew up the son of Bruce and Wanda Siders and brother to Timothy. Greg loved to be outdoors from a young age. As he grew up, he would spend days in the woods hunting and trapping, which he learned from his father. Once grown, there came a time he relied solely on his trapping ability to pay the bills.
After high school, Greg went to trade school to learn how to weld. He took great pride in being a welder. Over the course of his career, he would work his way up to retiring as a project manager. He generously taught and passed down his strong work ethic to his children.
Greg is greatly loved, deeply missed, and forever remembered.
Greg is survived by his father, Bruce Siders, his brother, Timothy Siders (Kathy), daughter, Samantha Blackard (Ryan), and son, Chase Siders (Virginia), as well as his grandchildren Rayn Blackard and Reed Blackard, niece, Julie Mason (Chuck), and great-nephew, Brett Mason, his former wife, Cynthia Siders, and his girlfriend, Lisa Roton. He was preceded in death by his mother, Wanda Lee Patrick Siders and his good friend Rennie White.
Visitation will be at Piney Grove Original Free Will Baptist Church, located at 10182 Cherry Run Road, Washington, NC on Saturday, January 24th at 10 a.m. A service to celebrate Greg's life will follow at 10:45 a.m. All are welcome.
