Lorraine Coltrain passed away peacefully in her sleep Friday, January 30th, 2026.
Burial graveside service will be conducted by Wilkerson Funeral Home on Tuesday, February 10th, 2026, at 2 PM at Martin Memorial Gardens, Williamston, North Carolina.
Lorraine lived a majority of her life in New Bern since 1971. Where she was a dedicated wife and mother to Bobby Coltrain of Vanceboro North Carolina and James H. Coltrain, Jr. of Greenville, NC.
Lorraine Coltrain is preceded in death by her parents Wiley Morton and Vestie Brown Woolard; James H. "Jay Bird" Coltrain (husband of 67 years); and two daughters-in-law, Sarah Coltrain and Teresa Coltrain.
She is survived by her two sons, Bobby Coltrain and James Coltrain, Jr.; three grandchildren, Lorra Beth Coltrain of Greenville, Kimberly Lynn Coltrain of Vanceboro and Jackson Hayes Coltrain of Greenville; four sisters-in-law, Joyce Woolard of Vanceboro; Minnie Hoggard of Windsor, Linda Thomas of Greenville, and Nita McNeese of Greenville; three brothers-in-law, Roger Coltrain and wife Betty Jean of Everetts, North Carolina, Wayne Coltrain and wife, Yvonne of Everetts, and Larry Coltrain and wife, Avis of Bear Grass, North Carolina; and a number of loving nieces and nephews.
