Gregory Dean Thornbury, age 57 of Pikeville, Kentucky passed away Thursday, August 4, 2022 at the Riverview Healthcare Center in Prestonsburg, Kentucky.
He was a mailroom worker at the Pikeville Medical Center for many years. He was a member of the Pikeville Free Will Baptist Church.
Greg was born in Fort Wayne, Indiana on January 3, 1965 a son of the late Barbara S. Kirk. Barbara's parents, the late John K. and Ruby Dye Thornbury. lovingly adopted him.
He is survived by two sisters, Jamie Diane Thacker and Collette Ratliff both of Pikeville, Kentucky.
He is also survived by three nephews, Jeff Hess (Amanda), Todd Hess all of Pikeville, Kentucky and Scott Ratliff (Heather) of Danville, Kentucky; four great-nephews, Logan Hess, Nick Hess, Tyson Hess and Warren Ratliff and three great-nieces, Gracie Hess, Haleigh Hess and Anna Ratliff.
Visitation will be in the J.W. Call Funeral Home Chapel after 6:00 p.m. Sunday, August 7, 2022 with evening services at 7:00 p.m.
Funeral Services will be 1:00 p.m. Monday, August 8, 2022 in the J.W. Call Funeral Home Chapel with Jim Patton officiating.
Burial will follow in the Annie E. Young Cemetery at Shelbiana, Kentucky.
