Gregory "Shorty" Williamson, 74 of Canal Winchester passed away on Tuesday, August 12, 2025. Shorty was born in Canal Winchester, Ohio on August 16th, 1950 to the late Pete and Annie Williamson. A graduate of Canal Winchester High School, he joined The United States Army where he served in the Vietnam War, was a member of American Legion Post 677 in Lithopolis and of Marcy Trinity Lutheran Church. He was an avid softball player in his younger years, and a farmer all of his life. He was a true lover of the land, enjoyed hunting with his sons, riding his 4-wheeler, and playing with his grand dogs, Zip and Norman.

He is preceded in death by his parents; Pete and Annie Williamson and father- in-law Waldo Swoyer. He is survived by his wife Stacey, the love of his life, and sons Bart (Kendra Zwayer) and Dustin (Lexie Donahue) who were his pride and joy. Siblings; Petey Wilt, Jeffrey (Debbie), Marc (Joni), Jan Sloan, mother-in-law Connie Swoyer, sisters-in-law Valerie (Larry) Agle, Melody (Sam) Foster, and numerous nieces, nephews and dear friends. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to: Marcy Trinity Lutheran Church 9980 Marcy Rd Ashville, Ohio 43103 or American Legion Post 677 11410 Smith Rd Lithopolis, Ohio 43136. Please join the family in sharing memories of Greg on Sunday, August 17, 2025 from 4-7pm at American Legion Post 677 11410 Smith Rd Lithopolis, Ohio 43136.
