Lois Jane Black, age 91, of Canal Winchester, Ohio, passed away on Friday, July 25, 2025 surrounded by her loved ones.

Lois was born on December 25, 1933 in Canal Winchester, Ohio to William and Olive Snyder. She grew up in Canal Winchester and graduated from Canal Winchester High School in 1951. She went on to work and retire from Franklin County Board of Health.

She will be remembered for her love of family and the Ohio State Buckeyes.

Lois is survived by her daughters, Teresa Cottingham, Melissa Peterson, Cynthia Rawlins (Kevin); son Jeffery Black (Kelly); her 11 grandchildren; her 13 great-grandchildren; many nephews and nieces; as well as many extended family members and friends who loved her deeply.

She was preceded in death by her husband John Black; parents William and Olive Snyder; and grandson Christopher Rawlins.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Capital City Hospice, Autism Speaks, or Pilot Dogs in Lois's memory.
