Gregory Paul Workman, a lifelong resident of Rolling Prairie, Indiana, passed away on August 27, 2025, at the age of 75.

Born on May 21, 1950, to Robert and Virginia Workman, Greg was a cornerstone of his community. He was dedicated to the success of his son's business, Workman Concrete, with which he served for many years. His commitment to his craft was evident in the projects he completed throughout the region. In his free time, Greg enjoyed motorcycle rides, cheering on the Green Bay Packers (GO, PACK, GO!), and recently began learning ballroom dancing with a special friend. Above all else, Greg loved being G-Paw-G to several great-grandchildren: Aaliyah, Weston, Nash, Jett, Cillian, Asher, and Baby Girl Nieman. He enjoyed hearing stories about their growth and adventures, even if it was fifth or sixth time, and loved attending any event to cheer on and celebrate their accomplishments.

Greg is survived by his two children, Jeff (Michelle) Workman of Rolling Prairie, IN, and Heather Workman of South Bend, IN. He is also survived by his three grandchildren: Jorden Workman, Hailee (Noah) Nieman, and Mason (Jordyn) Workman.

He was preceded in death by both of his parents, his brothers David and Roger Workman, dogs Jack, Dudley, Molly, and Alex, his pet chipmunk, Chip, and his devoted wife of 47 years, Patti Workman, who awaits him in their next life with a gin and tonic in hand.

The family wishes to acknowledge that Greg's death was the result of recent challenges with mental health. The family encourages anyone who may be going through a similar season to seek help. Even in the darkest moments, there is still hope. The feelings that are consuming you right now are temporary, even if it doesn't feel that way, and mental health is just as important as physical health. If you or someone you know is in crisis, you can connect with compassionate and trained individuals by calling or texting the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline at 988. It is free, confidential, and available 24/7.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date. Lakeview Funeral Home and Crematory, 247 W. Johnson Rd., La Porte, (219) 362-3100 is caring for the arrangements.

Please send condolences to the family at www,LakeviewFHC.com.
