Grover is survived by his daughter & son-in-law, Shelby & Ricky Bolt; sons & daughters-in-law, Timmy & Renee Akers, Terry & Kimberly Akers; grandchildren, Renee Conner, Laura Ann & Nick Yopp, Amanda & Will Dulaney, Travis & Ashley Akers; Zachary Akers & Sierra Burnett, Zoe Akers & Darien Ogundeji; seven great-grandchildren and two on the way; a very special brother-in-law, Bruce Sweeney; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was a loving husband, father and grandfather. Grover was a mechanic who loved cars and racing. He loved the outdoors and riding around looking for deer.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, October 17, 2025 in the Maberry Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Roy Turpin and Chris Harman officiating. Interment will follow in the Topeco Cemetery. The family will receive friends from Noon until 2:00 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.
