Grover Lee Bowman

Grover Lee Bowman, age 66 of Kingman, IN, passed away on Wednesday, August 14, 2024 at his home, surrounded by his family. 

 

 

 

Grover was born on November 9, 1957. He was the son of Donald Ray and Ruby (Sowers) Bowman. Grover was a 1976 graduate of Fountain Central High School. He was raised in Veedersburg, IN. Grover lived briefly in Texas and later Bartlett, IL. He moved to Mesa, AZ in 2002 where he resided until moving to Kingman in 2022. 

 

 

 

Grover married Cheryl Clara Butts on March 23, 1986 in Addison, IL and she survives. 

 

 

 

Grover worked for the City of Mesa, Arizona where he oversaw water treatment pumps. He was an outdoorsman who enjoyed walking, caving, fishing, and camping. 

 

 

 

Surviving with his wife, Cheryl, are:

 

4 children, Valerie McGee (Steve) of Kingman, IN, Timothy Bowman (Erin) of Ohio, Joshua Bowman (Colleen), and Samantha Fuller (Aaron) of Gilbert, AZ;

 

1 sister, Donna Olmstead of Veedersburg, IN;

 

5 granddaughters and 3 grandsons;

 

4 great-grandchildren

 

 

 

Grover was preceded in death by his parents and his 2 brothers Milton Bowman and Roy Bowman. 

 

 

 

Visitation will be at Dickerson Funeral Home on Saturday, August 24, 2024 from 2:00 p.m. until memorial service time at 4:00 p.m. with William Jones officiating.
