Dear Bynum family, I've missed Grover the last few years, but I haven't missed the memories of his caring for our family over many years with such skill and wisdom; I think of him often. My Dad admired Dr. B so much, and after his untimely death, that admiration was passed to my Mom and all of us Powell kids. I'm sure I speak for all of us when I say we love you all and pray for God's peace to land on each of you. I'm also smiling, thinking of Grover in heaven with his doctor bag, helping folks, because that's what he did. Maybe he and my Dad are in the old Sugar Bowl, eating roast beef Po'Boys and watching Tulane beat LSU in football!

I had the pleasure of working with and becoming friends with Dr. Bynum through his volunteer service with the American Cancer Society. He made a significant impact on the fight against cancer and leaves a lasting legacy.

Dear Bynum Family please accept my sincere condolences on the passing of Dr. Bynum. I served alongside Dr. Bynum for many years on the Board of Directors of the American Cancer Society in Austin. Dr. Bynum was a true leader on our board and a mentor and friend to me. Despite a wide gap in our ages, we worked well together and he played a major role in building the ACS into an effective and powerful force for over a decade. Although he took our life-saving mission seriously, he treated every volunteer and staff member with respect and courtesy and he was beloved by all who knew him. Please know he and your family are in my prayers. God Bless.

Dr. Bynum treated me while I was in high school in 1965 and throughout the years after. His "bedside manner" was wonderful and it was almost a pleasure being seen by him. He also treated my father and will be remembered very fondly by all of us.

Dear Mrs. Bynum,
I was saddened to see Dr. Bynum's obituary. My step mother, Charlotte, just passed as well and her obituary will be posted.
I send my condolences and prayers to you and your family. Dr Bynum holds a special place in my heart and I know I can say the same for my parents, Amos and Frankie. May our Lord keep you strong and comforted in His arms.
Love, Robin Riha Linden

Dear Anita,
My prayers are with you and your family as you grieve Grover's death. He was a dear man and old-school doctor, who knew he had a vocation rather than a career.
Rest eternal grant Grover, O Lord, and let Light perpetual shine upon him. Amen.

Grover was the BEST big brother a girl could have! He was my "star" and was as attentive as a busy doctor could be. I always felt "looked after", since our Dad died when I was 11. I love Grover forever and his dear, dear family. I have been Blessed beyond measure.
