The Ahern Family, would like to extend our heartfelt condolences, to our friends The Edwards Family. Grover, who was coached by our Dad in football at Bayonne H.S., was a terrific player and teammate, who became our friend on, and off, the field. Dad always said that Grover was a "great Bee player and teammate, with an infectious personality and smile, that could light up a room." My recollection of Grover, other than as a player on those Bee teams, was outside of the sports arena. We, Grover and I, along with Shari and Tom, were chosen as delegates to the National Conference of Christians and Jews(NCCJ), summer conference in New Jersey. There, I saw Grover as a true friend, and a role model, in that atmosphere. He was certainly a leader , a "man's man", who exuded confidence , and a genuine spirit of kindness, and humility. He cared deeply about all of the other school's delegates, and about their lives and personal stories. My thoughts about Grover were those first, and then about the great all-around athlete at "The Beehive!" I am so glad that I became a buddy, as well as all of his friends and fellow teammates, with "Buddy." R.I.P. Grover, and God Bless the family.

Grovers grandfather and my father, Clarence Glover Sr. were first cousins. My name is Margaret Glover Bracy. I heard of his death and just wanted to say I wish I had known him better. What a nice reputation he has left. The rest is in the hands of our Creator. My deepest sympathy go out to the family and friends.

Dear Edwards´s family,
I am sorry beyond words to learn of Grover having passed. I still have great memories of our growing up years in the 25th-26th street area on Ave C,even though he was slightly younger he still was always welcomed in the group and was always fun to be around.
Over the years we would occasionally run into each other and it was always a joy to relive those long ago days.
Both Grover and the family will be in our prayers ,may he finally Rest In Peace as I know the CTE took its toll on him. May the family find solace in the fond memories they have,
Sincerely and with respect,
Jack Smith MD
