The De la Rosa family is saddened to announce the sudden passing of Guadalupe de la Rosa on August 26th, 2025, in Wenatchee, WA. Guadalupe, affectionately known as La Lupe, was born in McAllen, Texas, on September 28th, 1965, to San Juana Garcia and Carlos Soto. Lupe had five siblings, Carlos Soto, Jose Luis Soto, Maria Susana Soto, Bernardo Soto, and Jessica Garcia. She attended Edinburg High School, where she met her high school sweetheart, Gerardo De la Rosa. Lupe graduated from high school, with the class of 1984. Lupe and Jerry were married on February 25th, 1985, in Edinburg, TX. Their daughter, Amanda Lee, was born in 1987, in McAllen, TX. The De la Rosa's moved to Moses Lake, WA, in 1988, where they decided to raise their family . Lupe worked at a nursing home, and Jerry worked at a store called "La Tienda". Their daughter, Alexis Lee, was born in Moses Lake, in 1994. Lupe was a hard worker, and held various positions throughout the years. She worked at Moses Lake Community Health Center for twelve years, and most recently held the role of Community Health Worker with the Maternity Support Services program, a job that she loved, and where she was also loved by many. Among other things, Lupe loved the Seahawks, country music, George Strait, novelas, and dogs. Lupe is an organ donor, and with her selfless donation, will give life to many that she didn't know. Lupe joins her daughter, Amanda, her mother, San Juana, and brother, Carlos, in Heaven. She leaves behind her husband, Jerry, and daughter, Alexis. She was ready to go, even if we were not ready for her to. She leaves us with many beautiful memories that we will carry on. Please join us as we celebrate Lupe's life, on Monday, September 8th, at Our Lady of Fatima. Viewing will begin at 9 am, with Rosary at 10 am, and Mass starting at 10:30 am. Lupe's life was full of service, and love. She will be very missed. On behalf of the De la Rosa family, thank your for all your kindness and prayers.
