Guadalupe Hernandez, aged 78, passed away peacefully on August 14, 2025, in Andrews, Texas. Born on May 8, 1947, in Ojinaga, Mexico, Guadalupe was a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend to many. Her infectious smile and warm heart will be profoundly missed by all who knew her.

Guadalupe's life was a testament to the power of love and family. In 1971, she married Pablo C. Hernandez, Sr., and the couple was blessed with a union that spanned nineteen years filled with joy and companionship until his passing. Together, they raised a family that stood as the core of her existence. She is survived by her loving children, Veronica Lujan and her husband Nelson of Andrews, Jose F. Hernandez of Andrews, Pablo C. Hernandez, Jr. of Odessa, Brenda Holguin of Kermit, and Glenda Hernandez of Kermit. Her legacy continues through her cherished grandchildren Erik, Laney, Mirna, Rafael, Isabel, Orlando, Alexandra, Jacob, and Jason, and her adored great-grandchildren Derik, Devan, Emma, Avery, Bubba, Alyssa, Sofia, Lucy, Noah, Dalila and Ezra as well as one great-great-grandchild Levi.

Guadalupe's siblings, Doloros Valenzuela, Argentina Urias, and Martin Valenzuela, will hold her memory dear, as will her numerous nieces and nephews from Mexico. She was preceded in death by her parents, Jesus and Angela Valenzuela, her beloved husband, Pablo C. Hernandez, Sr., her sisters Eduviguez Vasquez and Enoe Montoya, grandson Fernando Juarez, and granddaughter Lucero Lujan. Their reunion is a comforting thought for the family during this time of loss.

A devout Christian, Guadalupe's faith was an integral part of her life and provided her with strength and solace.

Guadalupe was renowned for her culinary skills, particularly her tamales, which were a family favorite, eagerly anticipated at gatherings. She also had a passion for baking, with her biscochos being a testament to her love for creating sweet treats for her family and friends. However, her greatest joy was found in the time she spent with her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren. Each moment with them was cherished, and the memories created will be treasured forever.

Guadalupe's life was a beautiful tapestry of devotion to her family, her faith, and the simple pleasures of life. She will be remembered for her kindness, her nurturing spirit, and the love she so freely gave. Her departure leaves a void that can never be filled, but her spirit will continue to live on in the hearts of those who loved her. As we say goodbye to Guadalupe Hernandez, we celebrate a life well-lived and a legacy of love that will endure for generations to come.
