Nevell Alford, 82, of Andrews, Texas passed away on Saturday, August 9, 2025, at Permian Regional Care Center in Andrews with her loving family at her side.

Nevell was born on December 11, 1942, in Hobbs, New Mexico to Hazel P. Sipes Bishop and Herman W. Bishop. She was a homemaker, wife, mother, grandma, and great grandmother who loved her family dearly. Nevell attended First Assembly of God and taught children's Bible School many years ago and was a substitute teacher in Eunice, New Mexico also. She enjoyed working in her flower garden and gave special attention to her favorite flowers, which were roses and often enjoyed sewing in her younger years. Most of all, Nevell loved her family and enjoyed taking care of them. They loved her dearly and will miss her greatly.

Survivors include her husband of sixty three years, Lawrence Alford of Andrews; her daughter Nicole Lacey and her husband Kyle of Big Springs, Texas; sisters, Wanda Williams of Frisco, Texas and Peggy Brasted and her husband Dave of Eunice, New Mexico; her brother, H.B. Bishop and his wife Kay of Pinehurst, Texas; Grandchildren, Josh Lacey and his wife Stacy, Merica Giles and her husband Dusty; Great Grandchildren, Jerzey, Connor, Aiden and Abigail. Numerous nieces and nephews and other family and friends who loved her deeply.

Nevell is preceded in death by her parents, Herman and Hazel Bishop and her brother-in-law, Bobby Williams.

Funeral Services will be conducted at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, August 12, 2025, at McNett Funeral Home in Andrews. Burial will take place at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday at Brunson Cemetery in Eunice, New Mexico.

The Family requests that no flowers be sent to the funeral home; however, "Memorial Contributions" can be made to a charity of choice or planting a tree in the Memory of Nevell Alford.
