Jesse Scott Alford, "Jess", age 52, passed away on August 4, 2025, in Jackson, Mississippi. Born on February 15, 1973, in Jackson, he spent his life serving his community which shaped him into the man he was.

Jess attended Clinton High School before pursuing higher education at Mississippi State University. While at Mississippi State, he was a proud member of Kappa Alpha Order Fraternity and majored in turf and grass management-an area that reflected his appreciation for the outdoors and hands-on work.

Professionally, Jess found great success with Sysco Foods in Jackson, where he was recognized as the number one Marketing Associate for numerous years. His dedication to his work was matched only by his passion for connecting with people and building lasting relationships.

Jess was the beloved son of Jesse Roy Alford and the late Truus Engles Alford. He shared a meaningful chapter of his life with his former wife, Mende Malouf Alford. Together they raised three daughters: Truus Ann Alford, Hala Malouf Alford, and Riena Scott Alford. His love for his daughters was unwavering and deeply evident in every aspect of his life.

A man of many talents and boundless energy, Jess had an adventurous spirit that led him to explore a wide range of hobbies-and master them all. From carpentry to music to church involvement, he approached each interest with enthusiasm and skill. Soccer was his favorite sport by far. He was selected as an All Star Player for the Mississippi Junior Olympic team. Additionally, his senior year of highschool he lead the team as captain to win the state championship going 18-0 for the season. Soccer held a special place in his heart; not only did he enjoy watching it endlessly, but he also delighted in teaching his daughters how to play the game with the same passion he carried throughout his life.

Jess's personality was marked by kindness, thoughtfulness, humor, and an unshakable drive. Those who knew him remember a man who was genuine and loving-a person whose presence brought warmth and laughter into every room. His deep faith guided him throughout his journey; he valued his relationship with the Lord profoundly and lived a life that reflected that devotion.

May Jesse Scott Alford, "Jess's , memory bring comfort to those who knew him and continue to inspire all who were touched by his vibrant spirit.

A Funeral Service will be held on August 8, 2025, from 02:00 PM to 03:00 PM at Saint Richards Catholic Church 1242 Lynwood Dr. visitation is from 1:00-2:00 before the service.

I remember you singing to me to all the songs you loved so much from "the classic country music greats". You´d say, "Darlin, my life is a country western song and (whatever thing/event) just added another verse." Funny the things that stick with us after 30 or so years. Feels like yesterday. Sad to see you move on, sweet Jesse, but fly high! And belt those tunes out now side-by-side with Merle Haggard and the rest of `em! Prayers for the family.
