Guadalupe Barajas was born to Enrique Barajas and Juanita Paniagua in Michoacan, Mexico on November 20, 1927 and Passed on August 7, 2025. She was the first of four siblings Theresa, Henrietta, and Ralph Barajas. At the age of seven both parents migrated to the United States to Houston, Texas where they took residence on Brooks St., in the fifth ward where she attended Public Schools and Worshiped at the St. Patricks' Catholic Church. As a young Woman she had a brief marriage and later met her life-long Partner and Husband, Jose Luiz Romero of 40 years where she resided at 4709 Cochran in Houston for over 65 years, until the past four years. A devoted wife, she was a full-time Homemaker and Loving Parent to ten children as well as two infants, Lupita and Norma, who passed early. Known for a Welcoming and Caring personality, Lupe was also seen as a second mother to countless neighborhood friends and families in addition to her own. No matter the hardship to her own she was always willing to lend a helping hand to others. Her infectious smile was truly a reflection of her heart and unconditional love for everyone. She is survived by Seven children Cynthia Matamoros, Richard Barajas, Joe Jr. Romero, Thomas Romero, David Romero, Laura Romero, and Louis Romero and Pre-deceased by her Husband Jose Luz Romero, Patricia Romero, Manuela Romero, Roger Pantoja, Lupe Romero, and Norma Romero. Guadalupe is also survived by Twenty-Seven grandchildren; three from Patricia, three from Manuela, three from Cynthia, three from Richard, four from Roger, four from Joe Jr., two from David, two from Louis, three from Laura, and Fifty-Six Great Grandchildren. Guadalupe's Spirit will live on through lives of those who loved and admired her for kindness and resilience. Interment will follow at Brookside Cemetery.
