Obituary
Guadalupe Sanchez, 72, of Kerrville, Texas passed, away on March 9, 2024, accompanied by her beloved family. Guadalupe was born on December 12, 1951, to Brigido and Maria Altamirano.
Lupe (as she was known to family and friends) and her husband, Florentino Sanchez, were each other's love life companion and friend. Together they shared four children.
Centered in her faith on the Lord Jesus Christ, she loved reciting the rosary in the morning and the evening. She also enjoyed listening to Christian music.
Lupe was a homemaker and loving mother. Her biggest treasure was her family. Spending time with her husband, children, and grandchildren as much as possible was her greatest enjoyment. She enjoyed cooking and shopping.
Guadalupe had a passion for all things, especially plants and loved just sitting outside on a sunny day. She would sit there and just admire the beauties of nature. It did not matter what kind of flower it was. The brighter and colorful flowers were her favorite.
Lupe will be especially remembered for her beautiful smile and strength of faith in Jesus Christ.
Survivors include one daughter and three sons, Janie (Aaron), Michael (Amy), Flo and David; and six grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Florentino Sanchez.
Visitation will be held Wednesday March 13 from 6 to 8 P.M. at Grimes Funeral Chapels.
Burial services will be held Thursday March 14 at 10 A.M. at Guadalupe Cemetery.
Survivors would like to extend our sincere thanks to Dr. Young and the staff at Peterson Hospice. Special thanks to RN Cassie.
The family wants to express a sincere appreciation and gratitude to Rose Cantu for the level of care for Lupe and guiding us through this journey. She is part of the family now. No level of gratitude can express our appreciation for what she did for Lupe and our family to help us through this difficult time.
