Guillermo Luna Frausto

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of our beloved father Guillermo Luna Frausto on August 1, 2025. He lived a full life of 86 years.

Guillermo had many nicknames that he went by including Bill, Memo, Willy.

Born on September 05, 1938, Bill was one of eleven children to Salvador and Edelmira Frausto—immigrants who worked tirelessly in farm labor to give their children a better life. Raised in the Christian faith and later baptized in the Baptist church, Bill carried a steadfast love for God that guided him through every chapter of his life.

Bill was fortunate to have traveled to many places locally, statewide, across the US, and Internationally.

He was very proud to have served in the Air Force for 21 years. After retirement from the Air Force his career path went from working on major computer servers, to the Post Office, to Real Estate, to even a slight time of being a greeter at Walmart. He also volunteered to help the elderly with their taxes.

Once into full time retirement, Bill enjoyed spending time with family in Milwaukee, San Antonio, and Colorado. He enjoyed tinkering with all sorts of electronics. He had many ideas and concepts that he hoped to patent and develop.

In 2020, Bill moved to Colorado to spend time with his daughter, son-in-law, grandchildren, and great grandchild. One of Bill’s greatest accomplishments was his relationship with his great grandchild Grayson. He was so proud to have the title of Great Grandpa.

Guillermo is preceded in death by his wife Darlene (2019), father Salvador (1992), mother Edelmira (1974), sister Josefina (1988) and sister Maria Luisa (2010).

He is survived by his daughter, Stephanie, son-in-law Steve, grandchildren, Andrew (Alexis), Melissa, Abigail, great grandson Grayson, his brothers, Salvador (Maria), Benjamin (Judith), Thomas (Caroline), Samuel, his sisters, Elena (Rigoberto), Ruth (Jimmy), Noemi (Eleazar), Elizabeth (Manases), and many nephews, nieces, and cousins.

We will profoundly miss this beautiful soul but we are comforted with the knowledge that he has been reunited with his wife, parents and sisters. We rejoice in his memory and the love he bestowed so freely on all of us.

God saw you getting Tired

And a cure was not to be.

So He put His arms around you And whispered, “Come to me!”

With tearful eyes we watched you

And saw you pass away.

Although we loved you dearly,

We could not make you stay.

A golden heart stopped beating… Hard-working hands to rest.

God broke our hearts to prove to us

He only takes the best.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, August 27, 2025, at 10:30 a.m. at Horan & McConaty, 11150 E. Dartmouth Avenue, Aurora, CO 80014, followed by a memorial service at 11:30 a.m., at the same location. Following the memorial service we will join an escorted procession and proceed to Fort Logan National Cemetery, 4400 W. Kenyon Ave. Denver, CO 80236, where at 1:45 p.m. we will have a Full Military Honors Service and Interment. The visitation and memorial service will be live streamed via this link. Reception will follow after interment at Steven and Stephanie’s home.
