Gunanayagam Rajanayagam Obituary
Born on February 22, 1940 in Sri Lanka. He was a retired principal of Jaffna College, Vaddukoddai, Sri Lanka.
Son of the late Gunanayagam Jacob Chelliah and late Muthaparanam Apputhurai; b eloved husband of Rajeswary (Chandra); l oving father of Rajini, Rajmohan, and Rajkumar; c herished father-in-law of Tyrone, Roushini, and Sharon; d ear brother of the late Nadanaraani and Inthiranee; and a ffectionate grandfather of Rashmita, Timothy, Rithika, Ratchitha, Rishan, and Ramitha.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, July 31, 2025 from 6-8 PM at Bright Funeral Home, 405 S. Main St. Wake Forest, NC 27587.
A funeral service will be held at 10 AM on Saturday, August 2, 2025 at Southbridge Fellowship Church with Pastor Dave Morley officiating. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 9:00 - 10:00 AM at Southbridge Fellowship, 12621 Strickland Rd, Raleigh, NC 27613. Burial will follow the service at Raleigh Memorial Park, 7501 Glenwood Ave, Raleigh, NC 27612.
Following the burial, the family invites all attendees to join them for lunch at Southbridge Fellowship Church.
