Gus Grant Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by J.C. Harwell and Son Funeral Home and Cremation Chapel - Covington on Jan. 23, 2026.
Mr. Gus Grant, age 47, of Loganville, passed away on January 18, 2026. Born on May 10, 1978, in Loganville, Gus was the son of Jerry Grant and Jean Thigpen, who preceded him in death. He grew up in Loganville, building a life centered on hard work, loyalty, and the love of family and friends.

Gus was a talented mechanic, who worked with McDaniels Collision. His passion for working on cars was evident in everything he did, but nothing brought him greater joy than spending time with his loved ones. Whether tinkering under the hood or spending time with his family, Gus's will be remembered fondly by all who knew him.

He is survived by his wife, Brooke Grant; his children Ronnie Head, Skyla Grant, August Grant, and Nova Parker; and his cherished grandchildren Braxton, Hallie, Fallon, and Rhen. Gus also leaves behind his brother, Dwayne Grant; his sister, Shanna Grant; as well as numerous other family members and many close friends who were blessed to share in his life.

Funeral services to honor Gus's life will be held at 2 o'clock on Friday, January 30, 2026, at the Chapel of J.C. Harwell and Son Funeral Home, with Reverend Joe Reid officiating. Interment will follow at Walnut Grove Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday from 1:00 PM until the time of service.

Gus leaves behind a legacy of warmth, laughter, and cherished memories that will remain in the hearts of all who knew him.
