Guy E. Hedrick, 69, of Holton, KS, passed away Friday, September 26, 2025 at Stormont Vail Hospital in Topeka. He was born December 9, 1955 in Montebello, CA, the son of Jack and Ruthanna (Dittemore) Hedrick.

Guy graduated from Highland High School in 1974. He proudly served in the United States Army National Guard.

He worked for 35 years at Frito Lay as a driver, shagger and a mechanic, retiring in 2020.

Guy was an Elder for the Community of Christ Church. He served as a board member for JCMA and volunteered with his wife, Darla, for the New Hope Food Pantry.

He married Darla K. Whetstine on December 22, 1975 in Fanning, KS. They celebrated over 49 years of marriage.

Survivors include his wife, Darla of the home; 3 sons, Chad E. Hedrick (Krissy), Eric C. Hedrick and Bryan M. Hedrick (Rebecca) all of Topeka, KS; 5 sisters, Cynthia Sweet of Scottsdale, AZ, Elizabeth Rudder (John) of Leavenworth, KS, Jacki Vidicki of Los Angeles, CA, Arvilla Walters (Leonard) of Peculiar, MO and Deanna Tate (Robert) of Leonardville, KS and; 8 grandchildren, Kadi (Lawson), Tailyr, Makenna, Teagan, Skye, Delaney, Tierney and Bo and 2 great-grandchildren, Leia and Lance.

Memorial Service with Military Honors will be 6:00 p.m. Friday, October 3, 2025 at the Mercer Funeral Home in Holton. Family will greet friends one hour prior to service time. Memorials may be given to the New Hope Food Pantry c/o Mercer Funeral Home, P.O. Box 270, Holton, KS 66436.
