Guy Steven Weldon

Guy Steven Weldon, age 47, of Lovilia, IA, passed away on Sunday, February 16, 2025, at his home.
Guy was born on December 16, 1977, at the University of Iowa Hospital in Iowa City, IA, to Steven Douglas Weldon and Kathy Burk. He grew up attending school at Twin Cedars in Bussey and later in Knoxville before graduating with honors from the Diesel Mechanics program at Indian Hills Community College. He was united in marriage to Cassy Binns and to this union, 2 children, David Weldon and Danni Binns, were born. Guy and Cassy later divorced. He married Lindsi Chance and to this union, a daughter, Kaylee, was born. Guy and Lindsi later divorced and he married Stacie Spaur. They also later divorced and he dated his good friend, Charity McCombs.
Guy worked at Titan Tire in Des Moines. Guy was very close to his uncle and aunt, Tom and Tiffany Weldon, and loved spending time with them at their place and attending their 4th of July parties. He enjoyed being outdoors, especially rock and arrowhead hunting. He also enjoyed junking as well as working on vehicles. He participated in arm wrestling, winning numerous medals and trophies, as well as the state champion title. He was extremely talented and could fix anything. Guy loved his Jack Russell Terriers, Godzilla, Zeus, and Patches. He had a huge heart and was always willing to help anyone in need. Above all else, Guy loved his family, especially his children.
Guy is survived by 3 children, David Weldon, Danni Binns, and Kaylee Weldon; his father, Steven (Lisa) Weldon; his mother, Kathy Woolsey; 4 brothers, Kaleb Marshall, Kevin (Madison) Weldon, Kyle Weldon, and Alan James Weldon; a step-brother, Nick Woolsey; his grandmother, Lois Burk; special aunts and uncles, Tom and Tiffany Weldon and Charles and Tracy Weldon; and his best friend, Andy Martin. Guy is also survived by several nieces, nephews, cousins, and good friends.
Guy is preceded in death by a brother, David Alan Weldon; a nephew, Guy Martin; his stepfather, Paul Woolsey; his grandparents, Guy and Myrna Weldon and Bill Burk; and an uncle, Blake Burk.
A Celebration of Life Visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m.-4:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 8, 2025, at the Tharp Funeral Home in Albia, with Guy's family present to greet family and friends. A private family burial will be held at a later date.
An open memorial has been established to the family.
