Guy Winters Obituary
Born on March 5, 1941, he grew up in Eureka, Kansas and graduated from Eureka High School, where he met his wife, Catherine Ann Crebo. They were happily married for 50 years. After high school Guy attended Emporia State University and went on to a successful career in wholesale sporting goods and sales businesses. During this time, they moved to Camdenton, Missouri, where they lived for over 40 years. Guy was a beloved member of the Lake community where he was actively involved in the Farm Bureau. Kind and generous, he made friends wherever he went.
Guy was an avid crappie fisherman, leading fishing expeditions to Canada and giving crappie seminars around the country. In an effort to get their children to eat the many crappie that Guy caught, he and Cathie developed Uncle Guy's Fish Mix, a secret recipe that his family loved, and later evolved into a small business.
Guy is survived by his sisters Myrna Kirk (husband, Allen) of Wilmington, Delaware; Marietta Parkinson of Laguna Woods, California; children, Julie Ann Bott (husband, J.J.) of Camdenton, Missouri; Kristin Louise Staats (husband, Bobby) of St. Peters, Missouri; Amy Lynne Winters of Kansas City, Missouri; Guy Allen (Chip) Winters, III (wife, Eve) of Sunrise Beach, Missouri; Gary Lee Winters of Neodesha, Kansas; and 9 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.
A Memorial Service will be held June 4, 2024 at 1pm at Hedges-Scott-Millard Funeral Home in Camdenton, Missouri. Visitation will be from 11am-1pm.
In lieu of flowers, Memorial Contributions can be made in Guy's name to Camden County Farm Bureau Federation, % Hedges-Scott-Millard Funeral Homes, 1270 S Business Route 5, Camdenton MO 65020.

Guy was a generous, giving pleasant person. He worked tirelessly on the garden at the senior center in Camdenton. He will be missed by many.
