Gwenda Lynn Keller, 64, of Tunkhannock passed away peacefully on Wednesday, July 9, 2025, at home surrounded by her family. She is survived by her husband of 46 years, Richard Keller.
Born on September 23, 1960, in Ephrata, PA, she is the daughter of Terry and Patricia (Finch) Griggs.
Wendy was a 1978 graduate of Tunkhannock High School. She took great pride in her career as an administrator with the Tunkhannock Area School District, where she contributed positively to the educational community. Later, Wendy transitioned into emergency services, working as a firefighter and primarily as an EMT for Scranton Ambulance from 1996 until 2008.
Throughout her life, Wendy had many passions that brought her joy. She cherished traveling to various destinations with her husband, embracing the sun-drenched beaches of Florida as snowbirds during the winter months. This adventurous spirit was matched only by her love for home. Wendy enjoyed baking and crafting alongside her grandchildren. Additionally, she had a fondness for watching Hallmark holiday movies.
She was a proud member of Community Bible Church, where she found community and support.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by son, Eric Keller; daughters, Jennifer and Samantha Keller sisters, Penelope Renoll and husband Dave, Sandra Clark and husband Greg; brother, Sean Griggs brother-in-law, Mark Wiley; grandchildren, Dante Squier, Gabriel Keller, Chloe Keller-Faux, Morgan Winters; several nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by sister, Robyn Wiley.
Family and friends are invited to attend Wendy's Celebration of Life which will be held on Saturday, August 9, 2025, at 12:00 PM from the Community Bible Church, 327 SR 92 S Tunkhannock, PA 18657 with Rev. Brian Dempsey presiding. Interment will be held at a later date in Sunnyside Cemetery, Tunkhannock.
A visitation will be held from 10:00 AM until the time of service on Saturday.
Memorial contributions can be made in Wendy's memory to Hospice of the Sacred Heart, 30 E.D. Preate Drive, Suite 108, Moosic, PA 18507.
