Gwen, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully on May 29, 2025, at the age of 72.
Gwen was married for 49 beautiful years to the love of her life, Larry Joseph Barker.Together, they shared a deep love and an adventurous spirit, traveling the world hand-in-hand and creating a lifetime of cherished memories. One of her favorite pastimes was going on cruise ships, where she found joy in the sunsets, and the company of loved ones.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Ora Etta "Susie" and Ray J. Pethel.
Gwen was the proud and devoted mother of Bobby Ray Barker, Skye Maa, and Larry Joe Barker; Loving grandmother of Cole Barker, Brody Barker, Sebastian Maa, Taryn Barker, Sloane Maa, and Nicholas Maa. Gwen's love for her family was the cornerstone of her life. Her beautiful smile, warm heart, and boundless affection touched everyone she met.
She will be remembered not only for her kindness and joyful spirit, but also for the love she so freely gave. Her legacy lives on in the hearts of her family.
