Our dear, loving mother, Gwendolyn "Gwen" Gaye Bashline, passed away on March 25, 2025, at 7:22 p.m., at the age of 66. She left us peacefully in her home, surrounded by the ones she loved the most.A celebration of life will be held on April 12, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. It will take place at her home, affectionately known as Granny Land, specifically in Granny's Garden—her favorite place on Earth.Gwen was born in Uneeda, WV, on October 30, 1958. She was the nucleus of our family, living life to the fullest, never leaving anything unsaid, and always ensuring our "goodbyes" felt more like "see you laters." Her love for her family, especially her grandchildren, was beyond words. Gwen was selfless, kind, and larger than life, drawing attention wherever she went with her pin-adorned hat that told the story of her life and travels.Gwen is survived by her loving husband, RV (Ralph Valenzuela, 66), with whom she shared 25 wonderful years of love and growth.
She leaves behind five children: Jesse Breeden (46) and wife Patricia Breeden; Jason Breeden (43) and wife Megan Breeden; Angile Gioffredo (37) and husband Justin Gioffredo; Victoria Moyer (34); and Johnny Chulik (29)“and spouse Cerina Bonnell” Gwen was also a proud grandmother to four grandchildren: JulieAunna Gioffredo (17), Nevaeh Moyer (15), Jionni Gioffredo (11), and Harper Moyer (10). She always said her grandchildren were her favorites, and they adored her, cherishing their time spent with her in her garden, making mud pies in Granny Land.Gwen is preceded in death by her father, Kenneth R. Bashline.
As Granny would say, "Here's to it and from it and to it again; if you don't get to it to do it, may you never get to it to do it again." And, "It's never goodbye, but always see you later."Until we all meet again, Mama. We love you, and you will be forever missed.
