A Life Well Lived
Funeral services celebrating the life of Gwendolyn “Faye” Cutwright Robinson, 83, of Shreveport, Louisiana, will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Saturday, October 18, 2025, at Our Lady of the Blessed Sacrament Church, 1558 Buena Vista St., Shreveport, LA 71101.
Gwendolyn “Faye” Cutwright Robinson was born on October 26, 1941, to Floyd and Lois Willis. She was the eldest of eight siblings.
Faye’s legacy is one of unwavering love, laughter, joy, and strength. Family was always her top priority and the center of her world. She never missed an opportunity to express her love — especially through her signature birthday calls and songs to family and friends. She was a mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend to many — a woman whose faith and warmth left an imprint that will never fade. As the matriarch of the family, Faye poured out love, wisdom, and blessings to everyone she met.
Her presence will be deeply missed, but her spirit will forever be remembered in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
Faye leaves to cherish her memory: two sons, Leroy Cutwright III (Terrie) and Lawrence Cutwright (Donna); two daughters, Corliss Mignon Cutwright and Gwendolyn Youngblood (John Youngblood); five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; two sisters, Youree (Jean) Washington and Arlene Green; three brothers, Wayne Willis (Ethel), Bruce James Lloyd Willis, and Alfred Willis (Patricia); a sister-in-love, Gloria Willis; and a host of nieces, nephews, and extended family.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Floyd and Lois Willis; her sister, Ethel Doris Wilson; and her brother, Leon Willis.
“Well done, good and faithful servant... Enter into the joy of your Lord.” — Matthew 25:23
