Gwendolyn Sue Logan was born on April 16, 1953 in New Orleans, Louisiana to the late Mary Gathright Logan and Lucius Logan. On Wednesday, September 18, 2024 she died peacefully at the Naomi Heights Nursing Home. Gwendolyn was the third born child of seven.
Gwendolyn was educated in the Rapides Parish School System and later went into the workforce where she spent many years doing domestic work and housekeeping.
Gwendolyn can be described as angel and have a great love for people and people loved her just as much. She loved watching her Westerns and she could often be found doing her crossword puzzles. She especially loved spending time with family and friends.
Gwendolyn is preceded in death by her parents, Lucius and Mary Logan; her 3 siblings, Margarette Logan, Easter D. Smith, and Iredale Logan.
Gwendolyn is survived by her life partner Charlie Ray Griffin; 4 sisters; Mary L. Logan of Beaumont, TX, Joy D. Logan and Charline Logan Jenkins (James) both of Boyce, LA, and Wanda F. Scott of Woodworth, LA. A host of nieces, nephews other relatives and friends as well as her extended family, The Griffin's.
