H. B. Bowers, age 88, of Lilburn, Georgia passed away on Sunday, July 13, 2025.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, July 19, 2025 at Bill Head Funeral Home Lilburn/Tucker Chapel, with Pastor T. J. Bennett officiating. Burial will follow at White Chapel Memorial Gardens, Duluth. Pallbearers will be grandson, Ethan Simpson, nephew, Joey Bowers, nephew, Johnny Bowers, nephew, Bobby Overton, grand nephew, Marshall Cofield and friend, Curtis Burruss.
H. B. was a strong man of faith and was very active in the church his whole life. He was a member of Lilburn First Baptist Church, serving right up to the last moment of his life.
He was also involved in Boy Scouts for over 50 years. He served as Scoutmaster of Troop 100 at Harmony Grove two different times. Also, he earned several awards in the Order of the Arrow in the Northeast Georgia Council.
H. B. was always willing to help out anyone and help anywhere that he was needed.
He is survived by his wife, Jewel Doris Abercrombie Bowers, his children, Sheri Bird (Ben), Jimmy Bowers (Melanie) and Donna Simpson (Bill); grandchildren, Cassie Bird, Cheril Lunt, Pam Johnson (Jon), Leigh Parmer (Tim), Kimberly Dye, Heather Dockery (Brandon), Megan Simpson, Ethan Simpson and 15 great grandchildren. H.B. was preceded in death by his grandsons-in-law, Justin Lunt and Matt Parmer.

The family will receive friends on Friday, July 18 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM and one hour prior to the service on Saturday, July 19 from 1:00 to 2:00 PM at Bill Head Funeral Home & Crematory Lilburn/Tucker Chapel. 770-564-2726
