H. Michael Daniel, loving husband, father, grandfather and pillar of the Galveston community, transitioned peacefully on Friday, December 5, 2025, in Galveston, Texas. He was born February 7, 1932, in Washington, Louisiana, the fifth of twelve children of Marshall and Octavia Daniel, and grew up in Lake Charles, Louisiana. Michael began his professional career at Pearl Beer and then was hired by Marathon Oil Company where he retired as a Utility Supervisor after a 35-year career. He was then later employed for a decade as a Bailiff for the Galveston County Courthouse.
