Karen Elizabeth Webb Landreneau, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and sister, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, October 7, 2025, in Alexandria, Louisiana, at the age of 60. Born on Thursday, November 19, 1964, in Ville Platte, Louisiana, Karen dedicated her life to caring for others, both in her professional career as a nurse and in her personal life, where her family was always at the forefront of her heart. Funeral services will be held on Monday, October 13, 2025 at Ardoin’s Funeral Home in Ville Platte. Burial will follow in Ortego Cemetery with Pastor Kevin West officiating services.
Karen graduated from Sacred Heart High School and furthered her education at LSUE, which prepared her well for her nursing career. Her natural kindness and dedication to healing made her a cherished member of the healthcare community.
Karen had a profound love for gardening and not only had a “green thumb” but her loved ones attest that she had an “entire green hand”. She could grow anything, including beautiful flowers that brought joy to her home. She cherished the hummingbirds that visited, taking satisfaction in the tranquility they brought.
Karen’s greatest joy, however, lay within her family. She poured her life and soul into nurturing her loved ones and instilling in them the importance of faith and Godly values. Her faith was strong and as a member of First Baptist Church of Ville Platte, she enjoyed sharing her faith with her Sunday school class.
Karen leaves behind her loving husband, Danny Landreneau; mother, Sarah Webb; four sons, Nicholas Dunagan (Lupe), Jordan Dunagan (Susi), Stefan Dunagan (Kelly), and Ethan Dunagan; and her four stepchildren, Derrick Landreneau (Abby), Kristy Tucker (Robert), Christopher Landreneau (Leslie), and Ashley Landreneau (Chase). She cherished those that called her “Nana” the most, her 15 grandchildren, Natalie, Savannah, AJ, Gracie, Chloe, Arianna, Lucas, Isabella, Shae, Allie, Blakely, Collyns, Silas, Aiden, and Giselle. She is also survived by her siblings, Marty Manuel (Steve) and Kenneth Webb, Jr. (Melanie).
Karen is preceded in death by her father, Kenneth Webb, Sr. and her stepson, Cory Landreneau.
Visitation will be held at Ardoin's Funeral Home in Ville Platte on Sunday, October 12, 2025, from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM, and again on Monday, October 13, 2025, from 8:00 AM to 10:00 AM.
