Born October 24, 1942, in Chicago to Howard and Lucille O'Brien née O'Leary, Terry was the dear brother of the late Sheila O'Brien, the late James T. O'Brien, and the late William H. O'Brien. He was the brother-in-law of Joan O'Brien and Nancy O'Brien, and a fond uncle to many nieces and nephews.
Terry was a proud graduate of Notre Dame College Prep Niles, IL and Rockhurst University, Kansas City, MO
An avid Cubs fan, Terry enjoyed many summers watching his beloved team and was thrilled to witness their World Series championship in 2016. He was a longtime member of Park Ridge Country Club, where he built many lasting friendships and enjoyed golf, dinners, and time spent with friends over the years.
Visitation, Thursday, June 19, 2025, 9:30 am until 10:30 am, at Ryan-Parke Funeral Home, 120 S. Northwest Highway, Park Ridge, IL,
Funeral Mass, 11:00 am at Saint Paul of the Cross, (next door to Ryan-Parke Funeral Home), 320 South Washington Street, Park Ridge, IL
Entombment All Saints Cemetery & Mausoleum, Des Plaines.
In lieu flowers, donations to Mount St. Joseph Association, 24955 N. US Highway 12, Lake Zurich, Illinois 60047.
