H. Sox Obituary
Mr. Sox, beloved husband of Christine White Sox, passed away on Friday, July 9, 2010. Born in Columbia, he was the son of the late Robert Lee Sox and Tessie Duren Sox. He was a lifelong area resident and a member of Red Bank Baptist Church. He retired from Department of Health and Environmental Control (DHEC). He enjoyed coaching Upward Basketball and he took pride in being a loving granddaddy.
Surviving in addition to his loving wife, Christine W. Sox of Lexington; sons and daughters-in-law, Wade (Heather) Sox, Scott (Lisa) Sox and Michael (Leah) Sox; grandchildren, Steven, Camryn, Christopher, Karina, Aaron, Landon and Nathan; brother and sister-in-law, Gordon (Barbara) Sox of Boone, NC.

I was so sorry to hear of Robbie's passing. Our families were neighbors for many years in West Columbia. We were children then and over the years we had lost touch. My Mother and Mrs. Sox remained friends until my mother passed away. Please express my sympathy to Gordon and his family. My thoughts and prayers are with you .

Dear Christine and Sox family,
You are in my thoughts and prayers. I worked with Robert at DHEC at State Park Health Center many years ago. He was a dear friend and kept us laughing with his keen sense of humor. He was very kind and the type of person everyone would want to work with. I had not seen him in many years but I will always remember him.
