It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Hadley Aurora Henson, who departed this world on December 15, 2025, at the tender age of 1 year and 4 months. Born on July 29, 2024, at Naval Hospital Camp Lejeune, Hadley brought immense joy and love to all who knew her during her brief time with us.
Hadley was cherished deeply by her parents, Wyatt and Karen Henson, who lovingly nurtured her every day. She was adored by her siblings: her sister, Emalyn Mae Henson, aged 4, and her brothers, Charles Liam Henson, aged 2, and Wesley Elias Henson, just 6 weeks old. Her paternal grandparents, Elizabeth Anne and Rone Fredrick Henson, and her maternal grandparents, Timothy James and Deborah Sue Arndt, held her close in their hearts, along with many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
Though her time with us was short, Hadley left an indelible mark on those around her. She loved watching Miss Rachel and was a true foodie, delighting in the tastes and textures of new foods. Just last week, she took her first four steps, a milestone celebrated with joy and pride by her family. A cuddler at heart, Hadley found comfort lying on her daddy's chest and giggled with delight when he made bottle rocket noises. Her sweet nature shone through as she blew kisses with the back of her hand, saying "Mhah" with a twinkle in her eye. She had a special way of crawling to her mother with a big smile, wrapping her tiny arms around her, and offering the most heartfelt hugs.
In the womb, Hadley was a twin, and though her twin did not make it into this world, we find solace in knowing they are now reunited in heaven.
A service to honor and celebrate Hadley's life and to find comfort in her Savior Jesus will be held at Ascension Lutheran Church in
Jacksonville, NC on Sunday, December 21st at 3:00 pm with pastor Steve Saatkamp officiating. Visitation will be held from 2:00 to 3:00 pm, one hour prior to the service in the chapel. The service will be lived streamed on Ascension's Facebook page.
Her gentle spirit and the love she shared will forever remain in the hearts of those who were blessed to know her. The family kindly requests that flowers be pink or white lilies, pink roses, or yellow daisies, reflecting the beauty and innocence that Hadley brought into our lives.
May our precious Hadley rest in peace, embraced by the love of her heavenly twin.
