Hal Cannon Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Wasson Funeral Home - Siloam Springs on May 31, 2025.
Hal Von Cannon, 67, of Colcord, Oklahoma, made his way to heaven on May 24, 2025, surrounded by the serenity of his cherished home Cannon Ridge.
Born in Siloam Springs, Arkansas on August 12, 1957, Hal was the beloved son of David and Donna Cannon. He grew up alongside siblings Tim Cannon and the late Mariesa Estes. Hal graduated from Raytown South High School, laying the foundation for a life filled with warmth, wisdom, and friendship.
A man of simple pleasures, Hal treasured mornings shared with his canine friends, savoring coffee as he watched the sunrise illuminate the natural beauty around him. Hal deeply enjoyed peaceful hikes, classic western films, and cheering for his beloved Kansas City Chiefs. His laughter and storytelling will echo warmly in the memories of all who knew him.
Passionate about dogs, Hal achieved numerous honors and awards with the American Dog Breeders Association, reflecting his deep connection with dogs that formed such a central part of his life.
Hal was also a proud and devoted father, always expressing immense love for his two children, Haley and Ryan Cannon. His family was his greatest pride, and his kindness, humor, and steady wisdom will be cherished forever by those who survive him-his daughter Haley, son Ryan, brother Tim, nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, extended family, and many friends.
A celebration of Hal's life will be held at 2PM on June 5, 2025, at Wasson Funeral Home in Siloam Springs, Arkansas. In honor of Hal's enduring love for dogs, the family kindly requests that charitable donations be made to Pit Ridge Rescue in Rogers, AR, in lieu of flowers. As Hal often said, "Life runs on fast legs," so cherish your time on earth-enjoy every moment you have, because in life there are no rewinds, just now.
