Halatono Netane Obituary
Halatono H. Netane passed away on November 2, 2016. Visitation: 7:00 - 11:00 p.m. on Sunday, November 6, 2016. Funeral Service: 8:00 a.m. Monday, November 7, 2016 both services to be held at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Euless. Interment to commence at 12:00 p.m. at Bluebonnet Hills Memorial Park following the funeral service.
Halatono was born on December 22, 1940 to Taufa Hema Fangupo and Olivia Ofa Talaki in Tonga. Halatono was one of the first Tongans in the Dallas Fort Worth area, and helped build the Tongan community with her late husband Siupeli Netane. She enjoyed gardening and knitting.
Those left to cherish her memory are: children, Tony Netane, special friend Nancy Hoffmann, daughter Ana Tupou and husband Samisoni; grandchildren, Kaunelani, Kiona, Hauoli, Sioeli, Siupeli, Fololina, Sosaia and Tuihalafatai, along with a host of extended family and friends.
