Haley Lucille Polk, a beacon of positivity and love, left this world way too soon, along with her unborn son, Bode, on June 29, 2025, after sharing 31 years of her vibrant life with us. Born on September 20, 1993, in
Rockwall, Texas, to Doug and Debora McWilliams, Haley was a shining light from the very beginning.
Haley's life was a testimony to the power of love and the strength of the human spirit. She was the beloved wife of Dusty Polk and a devoted stepmother to Avery, Preston, Harper, and Landon. Her unwavering love extended to her parents, Doug and Debora McWilliams; her sister, Stephanie Perdue; her brother, Lucas Voorhees and his wife, Jennifer; grandmother, Betty McWilliams; her treasured nieces, Lexie, Lizzie, Catelynn, Emma, and her nephew, Luke. While she was preceded in death by her precious son, Karter Otto Heinrich, and her grandparents, Kathleen Moreland, Perry Reed, and Jerry McWilliams, the legacy of love they all shared continues to ripple through the lives of those they've touched.
Haley's infectious laugh could light up the darkest room, and her loving nature made her a magnet for all who were fortunate enough to cross her path. She was brave, always facing life's challenges head-on with a positive energy that was utterly contagious. Her strength was awe-inspiring, matched only by the sweetness of her disposition. Haley was the epitome of loyalty, demonstrating an unwavering commitment to her friends and family.
Her work ethic was unparalleled, a testament to her kindhearted and giving nature. She was a great friend, truly one of a kind, with a great personality that exuded confidence. Haley was always her true self, unapologetically and beautifully so. Her passion for life was evident in everything she did, and her sense of humor brought laughter and joy to all. Haley's passionate spirit will continue to inspire those who knew her.
To describe Haley as loving, funny, and passionate is to capture only a glimpse of the extraordinary person she was. She had the rare ability to see the good in every situation and to encourage others to do the same. Her legacy is one of love, laughter, and the relentless pursuit of happiness, even in the face of adversity.
As we reflect on Haley's life, let us remember the lessons she imparted through her living example. Let us embrace each day with the same zest and love that Haley did. And let us carry her memory in our hearts, allowing her spirit to guide us toward living a life as full and joyful as hers.
