Haley Ann Winner, 17, of Dubuque, died Sunday, October 5, 2025, at home.
Visitation will be from 3:00 pm until 8:00 pm Monday, October 13, 2025 at Hoffmann Schneider & Kitchen Funeral Home & Crematory.
The Private Family Funeral Service for Haley will be at Hoffmann Schneider & Kitchen Funeral Home & Crematory with Deacon Mike Ellis officiating.
Haley was born December 22, 2007, in Dubuque, IA, the daughter of Christopher Joseph and Christina Kelley Winner.
Haley was a senior at Dubuque Senior High School, where she was known for her kindness, quick wit, and the way she could make anyone laugh. She worked at the Dubuque Sports Complex-often found behind the concession stand, DJ'ing and cheering on her brothers' baseball games-and most recently at Stonehill Care Center, where her caring heart and bright smile brought joy to the residents and staff.
One of Haley's greatest loves was spending time with her friends, she valued all of her close friends dearly. Driving around town listening to Drake, making TikTok's and Dunkin' runs with her best friend, Shamiya, that ALWAYS turned into an adventure.
Haley was one of those rare souls who made every room brighter. Her kindness, her laughter, her presence- she left her mark on so many of us.
She had a fun loving spirit, sarcasm so sharp and charming it was impossible not to smile, and a heart bigger than most believed could exist. To every child she met she was a big sister and every adult around her she offered warmth and comfort.
Haley radiated light, the kind that made people feel seen, safe and loved. The world feels dimmer without her and her absence is felt in every space her joy once filled.
Survivors include her parents, Chris and Christina Winner of Dubuque; her siblings, Hunter (Ava Reed) Winner of Dubuque, Bentley, Griffin, and Baleigh Winner; her grandparents, Judith Ann Winner of Dubuque; Kelley and Pete Kruschke of Potosi, WI; and Bob and Mary Julson of Milan, IL; aunts and uncles, Sara (Zach) Dowell, Jodie (Joel) Cross, and Bob Julson, all of Dubuque; and five cousins, Kaitlyn, Carter & Landen Dowell, and Wyatt & Eli Cross.
She was preceded in death by her grandfather, Thomas Winner, and her great-grandmother, Susie Wells.
The family would like to thank the Dubuque Police Department, Dubuque Fire Department and Dubuque County Medical Examiner. Also to our family, friends and the entire Dubuque community. THANK YOU for the outpouring of love and support for our family through this difficult time. We love you all!
