Henry Livingston Spooner was born June 30, 1947, in Bainbridge, GA, the son of Jesse & Alberta Lambert Spooner. He was a graduate of Bainbridge High School and furthered his studies at Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College. Hank proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War earning a plethora of service medals. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Bainbridge. For most of his life, Hank was a rancher. He spent years as the head rancher for Bar C Ranch, Bond Ranch, and Diamond S Ranch, among other notable ranches. He knew most anything about cattle and horses, often helping others by sharing his expertise. Hank was the first showman in the country to show a Simmental calf which, no doubt, was a testament to his patience and willingness to persevere.

The outdoors was where Hank found peace and solace. He enjoyed being in the woods, hunting, and exploring. As a family man, Hank spent quality time teaching his sons the importance of working hard, keeping your word, and doing whatever it takes to get the job done.

Survivors include his wife of 48 years, Ginger A. Spooner; his sons, Justin Spooner (Brandy) and John P. Spooner; and his grandson, Ty. In addition to his parents, Hank was preceded in death by his brother, J.P. Spooner, Jr.
